Carvoeiro is a traditional fishermen's village, fortunately having kept an authentic atmosphere over the years, making it to one of the most popular villa holiday destinations in the Algarve The centre looks down onto a small beach bay enclosed by rock formations, Praia do Carvoeiro, surrounded by slopes with original building style. Carvoeiro has a name for quality tourism, golf courses Pinta and Gramacho and Carvoeiro Clube de Tennis invite, another 10 golf courses within 40 car minutes reach. Ferragudo has also kept its traditional flair, especially at and around the square.
